  1. Peterloon offers a beautiful sprawling landscape with unique rooms and lawn spaces. Be sure to spread out your events, so guests can experience the natural beauty and rich history of the site. We recommend getting ready in the bridal suite, an outdoor ceremony on the side lawn, a cocktail hour in the living room, and a reception on the new patio. This venue takes your breath away with every turn, and you will want to be sure you make the most of the space on your big day.
  2. Peterloon offers stunning antique pieces to place your cake and favors, so be sure to make good use of these available items. We always recommend doing a site visit with your wedding planner, photographer, and florist, so they can create a timeless aesthetic that accentuates the history of the space.
  3. You will want to make sure your timeline allows for plenty of photos both inside and outside. By walking the space with your wedding planner and photographer, you can ensure you have time for it all (even sunset photos)!

2. GREENACRES ART CENTER | Historical Wedding Venue in Cincinnati, OH

Located in the heart of Indian Hill, Ohio, you will find another beautiful historic estate known as The Greenacres Art Center. The 600 acres once belonged to the Fleischmann Family of Cincinnati and is now a top venue for couples for their wedding day.

Greenacres offers three different venues for weddings.

-The House can accommodate up to 180 guests and is a fully restored English Norman style manor.

-The Gardens and Terrace can host up to 300 guests and feature beautiful gardens and flower beds, all grown within their own greenhouse and changed seasonally.

-The Grand Tent is the largest option, holding up to 400 guests, withstanding “severe weather” and has air conditioning.

Due to its beautifully maintained grounds, the estate comes with many opportunities for beautiful photos. Fountains, natural greenery, and gardens surround your guests as they walk through the property. Wrought-iron fences, grand architecture, and scenic views make breathtaking backdrops to any couple or bridal party photo.

You won’t want to leave this stunning and historically charming property!

Enjoy these wedding planning tips from I-Do Weddings & Events:

  1. Flowers – Ask your florist to label your “personal flowers” (bouquets, corsages & boutonnieres) with actual names of recipients to avoid confusion before the ceremony when they are distributed.
  2. Invitations – Before mailing, assign a number to each response card that corresponds with an actual guest…then write that number on the back of each response card – people sometimes send blank RSVP’s and these numbers prevent “mystery” guests.
  3. The Dress – Bustles often break, so ask for a French “under” bustle vs. an American “over” bustle if you like to dance and want to avoid carrying your dress over your arm all night.

3. PINECROFT MANSION | Historical Wedding Venue in Cincinnati, OH

This Tudor style home was once owned by Powel Crosley Jr. – inventor, innovator, and former owner of the Cincinnati Reds. While building the mansion, Crosley imagined historic architecture and wanted the home to look hundreds of years old before even living in it. This gave him the opportunity to pay grave attention to ornate woodworking and molding throughout the house.

Because of such focus on those details, the photo opportunities are endless. Every hallway and room provide intricate and unique backdrops for your pictures. Located on 18 acres, there are also many outdoor options for photos.

The Garden Pavilion accommodates up to 500 standing and 325 seated guests. The beautiful tented area comes complete with hardwood floors, chandeliers and drapery.

The Mansion can accommodate up to 150 standing and 100 seated guests. There are plenty of rooms and spaces for ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours!

Lastly, the Pinecroft Estate also offers the Gardens and Orchards for ceremonies. This beautiful outdoor space is simply stunning and your guests will love the greenery!

The Pinecroft Estate has a “Great Gatsby-esque” atmosphere and offers charm, elegance, and luxury for every couple!

  1. Setting up your head table or sweetheart table in the Tearoom provides an amazing fireplace/mantle backdrop for wedding photos
  2. You can never have too many candles at your wedding! I like to line the ledge of our entire ballroom in them so that guests can enjoy a truly candlelit dinner.
  3. The Ballroom is such a blank slate, ivory linens with wedding color complimenting napkins has such a dramatic, yet classic effect on the room. If you’re a “white wedding” fan, I suggest ivory linens with a white napkin- so elegant

This National Historic structure, located in the heart of Mt. Adams, has a unique story behind each wall. The history is rich and beautiful and can be seen in just about every corner of the space. Planning a wedding at the Monastery Event Center? Enjoy these tops planning tips from Cincy Event Planning:

  1. The Monastery Event Center is one of our favorite venues to recommend to clients. This venue provides various amenities including in-house catering, tables, Chaivari chairs, linens, and rooms for the wedding party. They have the capability to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and also have on-site parking for vendors and guests. The Monastery’s staff is wonderful to work with! They are very accommodating to the clients and vendors, have great attention to detail, and are very efficient on the day of the wedding.
  2. One of the biggest planning considerations to think about if your wedding is at The Monastery is the location. While the views at Mt. Adams are amazing, it can be difficult for lager vehicles to make it up the big hills. This is a very important topic to discuss with transportation companies, bands, and any other vendors that might be using a big van or bus.
  3. Many different wedding design styles work well at The Monastery. We’ve seen classical, whimsical, modern, boho, elegant, and vintage with all different color palettes. There aren’t many styles that wouldn’t work at The Monastery!
