The first engagement session of the spring season was a trip up to Columbus to photograph Emily and Mark. This sweet couple met at the University of Dayton as undergrads, and they are now medical students at Ohio University’s Dublin campus. Spring sessions can always be hit-or-miss with the weather, but we definitely lucked out with a perfect spring evening for this one! We started off in German Village which was such a quaint neighborhood with blooming, tree-lined streets.
We then ventured over to Graeter’s where Emily and Mark enjoyed a couple of delicious black raspberry chip waffle cones (also my favorite!). Graeter’s will always have a special place in their hearts. Emily and Mark went there on their first date, as well as the evening he proposed to her. It was wonderful to be able to tie such a meaningful place into our engagement session.
We wrapped up our evening at Topiary Park as the sun was getting ready to set. What a beautiful spot to capture some romantic pictures, under the white flowering trees before sunset. We’re so excited to celebrate these two with their family and friends for their December wedding in Cincinnati! They will be getting married at All Saints Catholic Church and their reception will be at the historic Glendale Lyceum. We can’t wait!
