Elegant Blush and Black Wedding in Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati Wedding Photographer

It was worth the wait. Last year, Maddie and Peter had to reschedule their wedding because of COVID.  After a challenging last year for us all, their family and friends were finally able to celebrate their wedding this July.  And wow, was this a good one!

A few months ago, I helped Maddie and her mom decide on the perfect setting for Maddie and her bridesmaids to get ready, and we landed on the presidential suite at the Cincinnati Marriott Rivercenter.  It was amazing – a staircase connecting two floors, big windows for lots of natural light, and a balcony overlooking downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River.  For the father-daughter first look, Maddie walked up to her father on the balcony.  Although he said he’s normally stoic, her dad couldn’t hold back his emotions when he saw his beautiful little girl in her stunning dress.

After some emotional family moments, Maddie headed down to the river to meet Peter for their first look, while their family and wedding party watched (and cheered) from the presidential suite balcony.  Maddie and Peter savored some intimate moments together before we captured romantic portraits of the adorable couple.  We then brought the wedding party along to the historic district in Covington before the ceremony.  The rain held off long enough for us to get several traditional photographs under the canopy of the tall trees.

The Mother of God Church was a breathtaking venue for their ceremony.  I always love Catholic ceremonies, and Mother of God is such a classic and grand church to have a wedding.  The priest provided many wise words along with a touch of humor before Maddie and Peter exchanged their vows.  After mass ended, Maddie and Peter walked out of the church as husband and wife!

The celebration continued at Drees Pavilion where guests mingled amid stunning city views and two amazing bands.  Once the reception formalities were complete, the dance floor filled in quickly!  I had a permanent smile on my face as I snapped so many people enjoying the evening.  As we closed the night, Maddie and I shared in a long hug and heartfelt words.  Maddie, Peter, their family, and friends were all such genuinely good people.  We were so happy to photograph their wedding!
