Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
We had the honor of photographing Lindsey and Evan’s wedding in Cincinnati. The day started with Lindsey getting ready with her bridesmaids and mother at the Hyatt Regency downtown. I absolutely loved how elegant Lindsey looked in her robe and then her wedding gown. These were dream photographs. Meanwhile, Stephen was at Lindsey’s dad’s house where Evan was getting ready with his groomsmen. Evan dressed in his white military uniform outfitted with gold buttons, awards, and medals – a handsome gentleman ready to see his beautiful bride.
Lindsey and Evan arranged for their first look near the Eden Park Standpipe. They stood on the pathway with their backs touching while saying a special prayer together before they turned around to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. It was such an intimate moment and I started crying as I was taking pictures. Once they turned around, their reactions were so genuine as they hugged each other in a long embrace.
After we finished pictures with their wedding party, the limo returned to Bell Event Centre. Before going inside, Lindsey’s dad was tucked away. He stepped outside to see his daughter for the first time and the tears started flowing! I love these moments where we’re able to capture this experience in a way that they’ll remember forever.
The ceremony at the Bell Event Centre was beautiful. The venue was originally built in 1850 as St. Paul’s Catholic Church, and we love the Romanesque architecture and corinthian columns. We photographed Lindsey walking down the aisle from the back tower where we could capture amazing wide shots of the entire venue. After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds outside for couple portraits in front of the church. One of the funniest moments of the day was when a little boy from the local playground came over and innocently photo-bombed a few of their pictures before we politely ushered him back to his little friends. Nonetheless, we got some great pictures at this location!
Upon their reception introduction, Lindsey and Evan immediately proceeded to the cake cutting. Now this was no ordinary cake cutting – Evan took out his military sword, quite an upgrade from the traditional cake knife! After delicious dinner, toasts, and dancing, all of their guests gathered outside for a sparkler exit. While the sparklers were being lit outside, the Airwave Band performed “Can’t Help Falling in Love” inside as Lindsey and Evan savored their last dance with the venue all to themselves. What a perfect way to close their wedding day.
