Looking back at July, it was a crazy month for us. We photographed more weddings in July than we’ve ever shot in one month. We ended the month with Jenna and Trent’s romantic wedding at Stone Valley Meadows, located in a beautiful rural setting in Franklin, Ohio. It’s refreshing when the wedding day is at a venue that can accommodate the entire day: getting ready, ceremony, and reception. Jenna got dressed in the loft of the main barn, while Trent prepped with his guys in the separate groom’s barn on the far end of the property. We gave extra special attention to ensure they didn’t accidentally see each other before their ceremony!
The ceremony was held in the meadow tucked away in a secluded landing, surrounded by trees. Capturing the ceremony from different vantage points is one of the biggest advantages of Stephen and I working as a team. As Jenna’s father escorted her along the curved walkway toward her soon-to-be husband, I photographed them from Trent’s perspective on the altar. At the exact same time, behind all the guests, Stephen was able to focus on Trent’s emotions. This is one of the most important parts of the wedding day and we love capturing every romantic angle of it.
After Jenna and Trent said “I do” and many hugs were exchanged with their family, we were able to take some romantic pictures of the newlyweds. People frequently give us compliments that our couples have amazing chemistry, but Jenna and Trent’s chemistry is on another level! They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and it’s truly inspiring to witness the pure love they have for each other. This also makes for amazing pictures!
We photographed Jenna and Trent in a nearby field where they shared an embrace among a rural backdrop. A few minutes later, we were so lucky their family lent a vintage Chrysler Imperial for some classic photos with the couple. Finally, during golden hour, we finished the day with some gorgeous pictures of the couple as the sun set over the horizon. A perfectly romantic ending for a perfectly romantic couple.
